Responsibilities

This role works within the department of Optimization and Integration to design and deliver learning content that supports optimal employee learning and long-term retention of skills. Created content would include, but not limited to, the blood collection process, optimizing customer service and leadership and should employ proven instructional design, theory, and instructional technology.

 

Candidates can report to the following locations : Providence Rhode Island; Newark Delaware; Kansas City Missouri; St. Paul Minneapolis; New York.

 

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs.
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches the goals as defined.
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
  • Communicating with Collections leaders about new technologies and programs capable of improving student experiences.
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc).
  • Integrating new SOP content into the learning environment and lesson plans without compromising the integrity of the curriculum.
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment/competency instruments.
  • Troubleshooting issues with any new resources and content.

Qualifications

Education:

BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar.

 

Related Experience:   

Four  years’ experience in a training profession – healthcare is optimal.

Previous experience in Instructional Design preferred.

 

Travel:

Enterprise travel will be required 20% at a minimum.

 

Licensure:

Valid Driver’s License and vehicle (required)

 

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $74,000.00/year to $106,380.00/year. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
